The Globaloria games made by the students were pretty good. I played at least one game in each category and this is what I thought of the. Under the casual games I played Kute little aliens. The game looked fun it lets you choose where to go and tells you how to help your alien colony survive. Unfortuantly it had a bug adn couldnt finish the story. In the eduacational catogory I played Learn the bones. It was well organized and had everything right. You just match the bones to the pitcure givin and then you are reviewd on where they go. I picked Teen pregnancy for the social issue catogory. It gave you information about teen pregnancy while you moved. It was like candy land but about pregnancy and not candy lol. The thing I didnt like is sometimes it skipped the text and you could read the information.
For the flash games my first choice was The Cost of Life. What it is your a family of five trying survive daily life by working and going to school. You are givin a certain amount of money starting out and you choose from the five family member where to go like school or work. There are four years you need to surivive and if the parents die you lose the game. It is well played and looks good. It tells you whats going on with the family good and bad throughout the four years. One thing that would be neat to add would be able to walk to places rather then just clicking.
The second choice I made was Katrina: Tempest in Cresent City. It looked pretty good, it told you how to play and a story of what was going on with hurrican katrina which it was based off of.
I didnt like the controls much. I like having the spacebar to jump rather then the up and down arrow keys which I would rather have.
Two things I would like to learn how to do is how make a game that looks good and functions well and easy so anyone can play and how to make the conent look great and how to fix things when needed.
